Safety and Event Rules
We want every little ghost, goblin, superhero, princess, Panther, and family member to have a safe and fun day at Florida Tech! Please review these important event rules before arriving
Help Us Keep Trunk or Treat Safe
Trunk or Treat is a family event, and we ask everyone to help us keep it safe and welcoming for children of all ages.
- Weapons are not permitted at the event. This includes real weapons as well as costume, toy, replica, or simulated weapons.
- Please leave swords, guns, knives, realistic props, and similar costume accessories at home - even if they are fake or part of a costume
- Alcohol is not permitted at Trunk or Treat. Please do not bring or consume alcoholic beverages within the event area
- Costumes are encouraged, but costumes, props, and accessories must be appropriate for a family-friendly community event and must not create a safety concern for other guests
Please follow instructions from Florida Tech staff, Campus Security, and event volunteers throughout the event. Event staff may address items or behavior that create a safety concern or interfere with other families' ability to enjoy the event.
A Few Halloween Safety Reminders
- Children should remain appropriately supervised by their parent, guardian or responsible adult throughout the event
- Some candy, food, and giveaways may contain or have come into contact with common allergies. Parents and guardians should review treats and food items before children consume them
- Please pay attention to posted signs around activities and attractions. Some experiences may have additional requirements, warnings, or age recommendations
- Our Scare Zone is completely optional and is designated for older guests. Please review the posted Scare Zone warnings before entering.
